When Claire’s tooth starts to feel a little sore and a bit wobbly she gets a visit from a tooth fairy that is a little bit hairier than she’d imagined.

This book started as a labour of love when illustrator Janet Gordon, a preschool educator of several decades experience, was looking for a story for dental care week, but with a very Australian setting.

She co-opted her husband Chris to write a story based on her idea of a very particular tooth fairy with a very Australian identity and then painstakingly drew by hand these amazing pictures.

It is their first book together and Janet’s first book as an illustrator.
