POLL RESULT: Best modern Dr Who

POLL RESULT: Best modern Dr Who

There was a really clear winner this week, and that was:

David Tennant (10th Doctor).

That’s two week’s in a row that my favourite has won (and I’m not cheating – honestly).

There were two reasons I chose to only judge the recent Doctor Whos… if we went back to the beginning there’d be too many, and also I didn’t see much of them.

I started watching Dr Who with David Tennant and then went back to watch the ninth doctor and so on. I always thought he was the funniest Doctor but he also did the drama and action bits well. I read that he wanted to be Doctor Who from when he was in school and used to write fan fiction stories about the Doctor… and even got into trouble for doing it.

His story is really interesting, because HIS favourite doctor was the fifth – Peter Davidson. he acted in a Doctor Who comedy sketch with Peter Davidson and also acted with his daughter, Georgia, in an episode called the Doctor’s Daughter (which she kind of was). And then he married her in real life.

I like that David Tennant has a Scottish accent in real life, especially since my heritage is Scottish too. He also has a butt chin, which I have, and mutton chops which I plan to have one day. AND he loves The Proclaimers and was in a video of that song with them once.

He had some great companions – and my favourite of his companions was Donna Noble. He said “What” better than anyone and I loved his catchphrase “Allonsey“.

My favourite scene of his is when he was dying and said that he didn’t want to go, which I think he really meant.

Anyway, that’s some of the reasons I like him and apparently a lot of people agree according to the poll. My second favourite is Matt Smith who came in third. Jodie Whittaker came in second and IO think that was because she’s pretty good, but also she’s new and maybe more girls voted for her.

I started watching Dr Who with David Tennant and then went back to watch the ninth doctor and so on.
